WOW! Writers Conference Registration

Conference Schedule and Information 2011

Writers of the Way (WOW) Presents
Faith & Culture —A Writing Seminar
Saturday, June 18, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Pacific Bible College, 409 North Front Street, Medford, Oregon

Published and aspiring writers and artists won’t want to miss this excellent opportunity to discuss ways to speak "truth" into our culture, featuring Pastor Rick Booye of Trail Christian Fellowship. This seminar will focus on Christians writing and creating art for the general market without selling our souls.

A panel will discuss and answer questions regarding how to "speak" into our culture, build cutlural bridges and recognize the difference between "good" and "bad" art.

Several workshops will be offered in the afternoon, covering topics such as, "Creating Saleable Photos," Drawing from the Right Brain," "Pushing Paint Around," "The Lightbox Method," and "Writing on Assignment."

A book table will be set up at the conference for authors to sell their material. Ten percent of sales will be donated to Pacific Bible College.

Cost of the conference is $35 for regular attendees and $25 for full-time students and seniors. Cost includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

Afternoon workshops will be taught by regularly published authors, Sandy Cathcart, Val Coulman, and Lynn Leissler, who will draw from years of experience writing and creating art for the general market. Sandy and Val are also published artists and photographers. Pastor John Wiuff will also introduce the Lightbox Method, an innovative and visual way of creating and deciphering story that can be used for both fiction and nonfiction authors and anyone wanting to interpret personal story, whether their own or someone else's.
